VESSEL DETAILS
  • What a great boat for day trips and adventures further afar, harkening back to the "simple life", when desired!

LUCKY DAY is as attractive as you would expect, coming from the eye of Arno Day and executed by The family firm, Frank Day & Sons.  Never far from where she was built, the boat stayed in the hands of one family (a father and then his son) for 68 years.  She was used as a pleasure yacht always, never worked.

And she served her purpose well.  Seaworthy, and comfortable, with an emphasis on cockpit space.  She has a nice forward deck, ample side decks, two opening ports and two fixed ports in her house side for light and ventilation.

Below, she has two very comfortable berths, with storage below, and two hanging lockers.

The helm deck features a hard sided and hard topped arrangement, for protection and visibility.  Both panels of the windshield open for ventilation when desired.  The helm is to port, companion area to starboard.  There are no permanent seats here, but stools work just fine and are the traditional perch of choice.  The engine box, which is very well insulate for sound, makes for a fine seat when necessary.

The cockpit is expansive, and offers room for deck chairs to supplement the aft bench seat.

Access to all systems is excellent.
