VESSEL OVERVIEW

The Bermuda 40 has been described in print by so many admirers - I will not bore you with further adulations.  However, I will reinforce my firm belief, tempered by years of inspecting B040's, that POLARIS is one of the finest.

Her care and condition will stand up to the most careful scrutiny and, one you have inspected her for yourself, I believe you will agree with me that she is simply fantastic.

Of course, there are different flavors of Bermuda 40's and this one needs to be for you.  A Mk III version, yawl rig, mahogany interior and twin pilot berths are the basic parameters.  But she goes well beyond this.

Only two owners since new.  She lived mostly on the Chesapeake, coming to Stonington a few years ago.  Both owners lavished her with proper care.  She is (and really always has been) in fine form - fully awgripped hull and deck - she shines and looks really sharp (and will for years).  Her teak is in perfect condition.

She has a Yanmar diesel, properly maintained, and the entire engine room looks clean, tidy and well organized.  She ahas a recent Balmar high output alternator, with a remote voltage regulator.  The pulley system was upgraded with Balmar machined serpentine pulley's and a serpentine belt - a significant upgrade.

The interior looks as good as the exterior - no flaws, renewed upholstery, etc., etc., etc.

She also has Marine Air air-conditioning (reverse cycle) and a propane heater.

And to make maneuvering around the docks perfectly simple, a Vetus bow thruster was installed just three years ago, and she has a max prop.
