Bruckmann Yachts have earned legendary status for their design, detailing, performance and build quality. I have had the pleasure of involvement with these fine yachts on a regular basis, including owning one.  I can confidently say that their impeccable reputation has been fully earned with every boat they have built.

The Bruckmann 50 MK II, deigned by Mark Ellis, is largely recognized as the most successful motorsailer design ever built.  This is not market hype - do research on this boat and every review you will find will echo the fact that this vessel both motors and sails at high levels of performance - a very unique circumstance to be sure.  Most motorsailers are significant compromises in both the sailing and motoring departments - not the Bruckmann 50.  And especially not the MK II version, which took a great boat and made it even better.

The extended waterline of the MKII, with additional volume aft, helps the boat both sail and power at a higher speed.  PERFECTO also has the larger John Deere 6.8 liter diesel, and both a bow and stern thruster.

PERFECTO is a darn near perfect Bruckmann 50 MK II.  With just two very knowledgable owners who lavished her with comprehensive care and maintenance, you may not find one nicer.  Sure, I can nit-pick a few things but they are easily remedied (or ignored, for that matter).  But the overall condition is fantastic.  This is an exceptional example of an exceptional design built by an exceptional builder.

If you have been looking for a B50MKII that will pass muster by the most demanding mariners, look no further.  If you have been curious about this design, then this is the one to come see.  I would be pleased to give you a thorough look at the boat and an in-depth review of why these boats have such a strong reputation and following.

I am aware that over-stating the quality and condition of a boat can lead to frustration when such such praise is not justified. PERFECTO is highly recommended with confidence that she will not disappoint in any manner.

PERFECTO is stored in a heated building and can easily be seen no matter the weather in Stonington CT, at Dodson Boatyard.  Call for more information or to arrange an inspection.  Video inspection is available for those unable to make the trip.
