The Grand Banks trawlers are iconic, as they have a timeless design and were built to pass the test of time.  “Oshea” is an outstanding example of the Grand Banks 46 Europa.  She is in extremely nice shape, belying her age.

She has benefitted from a line of very good owners.  The just previous owner cruised the Great Loop in 2013 and used her lightly in Maine.  The current owners have been enjoying multiple summers aboard “Oshea”, primarily in the waters of the Hudson River.

“Oshea” is in very nice condition and hard to ignore if you are looking in this size range and a trawler.

"OSHEA" - GB 46 Europa

BROKERS COMMENTS: The Grand Banks trawlers are iconic, as they have a timeless design and were built to pass the test of time.

The 46 Europa is a wonderful model of the Grand Banks line.  The covered side decks and the amazing stern deck is fabulous to lounge in, out of the sun or rain, as it is an extension of the saloon.  This makes the 46 feel much larger than the non-Europa models.

The layout below for guests is very flexible.  To port is an open space that can get closed off to form a private cabin suitable for the primary cabin.  Or, use the spacious vee-berth in the bow as the primary cabin, your choice.  There is a comfortable single cabin to starboard.

The engine room is very well laid out and easy to move around in.  There is also a mechanical room aft of the engine room that is great to store spares and long term pantry goods.

The flybridge is very spacious and comfortable.  The bimini offers great protection from rain and the sun, as well as making dining up top a treat.

Overall, “Oshea” is in very nice condition and hard to ignore if you are looking in this size range and a trawler.

Manufacturer Provided Description

Built on the same hull form as the popular GB 46 Classic, the Grand Banks 46 Europa offers a spacious deck house that opens aft to a shaded cockpit. The extra living space of the saloon and cockpit area, well protected deck space, abundant storage throughout, and the expansive flybridge area all add up to a a very popular design.

The flybridge extends over both side decks and the cockpit, providing extra protection from the sun and inclement weather. This extended flybridge is spacious enough for a complete steering and navigational station with built-in seating, an entertainment area, and a dinghy . A prominent feature of the Europa design is its connection of the interior saloon with the outside cockpit. With the beautifully crafted sliding door open at anchor or at dockside, the living space flows naturally from the indoors to the outdoors. The galley is readily accessible to this expanded living space, a bonus for entertaining.

Engine room access on the 46 Europa is via an entrance through the rear bulkhead under the cockpit. This allows for quick checks on equipment without disturbing the guests and crew in the main saloon. The engine room has plenty of space for installation of the standard generator and a host of options.
