Accommodations

Lady Margaret benefits from the 1991 redesign of the Grand Banks 42 offering a wider beam and additional length. The traditional styling remains with a comfortable forward cabin with V-berth, a large open main salon and galley midship and a spacious master stateroom aft equipped with a comfortable SLEEP NUMBER queen size mattress. The living areas are cooled and heated by three independently controlled (3) Marineaire units.

The larger forward cabin has a V berth and ample storage lockers and drawers. The enlarged forward head features an opening port, shower, and Vacu-flush toilet with holding tank and overboard discharge.

The main salon contains a fixed helm seat to adjacent to the starboard door for easy access to the deck. Instruments are all easily accessed at the well laid out lower helm which offers excellent visibility while navigating from below. The Center windshield opens and all three are equipped with wipers and washers. Port and starboard doors offer each deck access. Aft of the helm seat is additional storage leading to the L shaped settee with a beautiful teak table with fold down leaves. Across from the settee to port is an additional settee and the optional second refrigerator/freezer.

The traditional port side up galley offers expansive views while cooking, imparting an open and airy feeling. Ample storage and counter space is available. Equipped with a large stainless steel sink with a Seagull water filtration system and spigot, a 3-burner Princess electric stove with over and broiler, microwave over and two large stainless steel lined Grunet refrigerators, one of which can also be used as a freezer. A convenient “pass-thru” overhead offers access to the flybridge.

Aft of the salon is the master stateroom with a walk around queen berth, large desk/vanity to port, and ample storage for your wardrobe via a dresser to starboard and large hanging lockers. The private head is to port with a Vacu-flush toilet and vanity and the separate shower room is to starboard. Both areas are white mica with teak trim for easy clean up. Optional opening hatches and ports offer all weather cruising comfort and light.
