LAYOUT
The Eastbay 38 offers accommodations for up to four in a single stateroom layout with Vee berth forward cabin and convertible settee. The cabin offers very good natural light and ventilation with three hatches with screens and six ports with screens. This supplemented with reverse cycle air conditioning/heat.
The settee is located in the starboard side of the Lower Salon area opposite the galley. The teak dining/coffee table also lowers to convert the settee to a double berth. A louvered door hanging locker is just forward with TV above. Additional storage is outboard in lockers and a book case.
The galley is to port featuring a large single basin sink, Formica counter tops and excellent storage in several lockers and drawers. Outboard is a Princess 3 burner propane stove with oven, while aft and below counter height is a front loading refer box stainless steel lined with 12v Grunert system.
The master Stateroom is forward with featuring V-berth with drawer storage underneath each berth, a bureau aft to starboard, and customized enlarged under deck lockers outboard. An overhead hatch and opening ports provide ample ventilation.
Aft of the stateroom to port is the Head equipped with an electric flush toilet plumbed via a Y-valve to the holding tank. The large vanity provides ample storage and is fitted with sink with hand shower faucet.
The Salon is three steps up from galley with the helm station to starboard. There are Pompanette helm & companion pedestal chairs forward with a bench seat for two aft which provides storage space and houses the propane locker. There is a teak chart locker with cover forward of the companion chair.
The cockpit lies two steps down to aft aft facing bench seat. Ample storage space for safety gear and docking equipment in the lazarettes aft. Easy access to the side decks with stainless safety railings.

This boat is powered with twin fresh water cooled Caterpillar 375 HP 3208TA diesels turning 2" stainless steel shafts with 4 bladed propellers through Twin Disc 2.0:1 reduction gears. The starboard engine was replaced in aprox. 2005 with a certified reconditioned engine by Brewer Pilots Point Marina in Westbrook CT. All fuel, oil and air filters changed 2023.

The builder used a fiberglass hull with end grain balsa coring from the chines to the rail and solid fiberglass bottom. The hull finish from the waterline up is Flag Blue Awlgrip with a White boot top and Gold cove stripe. The bottom is finished with ablative Green anti-fouling.
