1999 Hinckley Picnic Boat Classic

WAVE is a Hinckley Picnic Boat Classic featuring a waterjet drive, Hinckley JetStick, and offers comfortable accommodations for two with sleeping berths and stowage, head with shower, and a well-equipped galley. She has been meticulously maintained and is currently stored inside a heated shed at Hinckley Portsmouth.

Construction:  

• Hull is Kevlar E-glass hybrid and balsa core, SCRIMPed with vinylester resin.
• Deck and cockpit are E-glass and balsa core, molded with polyester resin. 
• The deck and cockpit sole have a molded-in nonskid pattern.
• Fiberglass molded rub rail has stainless steel half-round 
• Heavy-duty fiberglass swim platform has teak insert treads, stainless steel bracket and half round, and a stainless steel folding swim ladder.

Deck features:

• Rounded, tapered, varnished teak toe rail with Hinckley profile.
• Varnished teak eyebrow molding around cabintop
• Varnished teak handrails on cabin and pilothouse top and aft end of pilothouse
• (1) Low profile opening aluminum hatch with screen.
• Four (4) custom opening elliptical ports with screens on house sides. 
• Hinckley mast with spotlight - painted to match deck. 
• Custom Hinckley 316L stainless steel bow chocks.
• Bow, stern and springline 316L stainless steel mooring cleats.
• Padeyes with chafe strips to hang fenders

• Varnished teak cockpit coaming.
• Two step stainless steel boarding ladder with teak treads can be mounted inboard port or starboard.
• Stowage is available in cockpit lockers with varnished teak doors and (3) Three flush cockpit sole hatches
• Handheld cockpit shower with hot and cold water 
• Direct drainage cockpit scuppers 

• Ivory-colored cockpit cover attaches to the pilothouse top and fastens with snaps providing full cockpit protection.

The insulated engine box has an Almond cushion:

• Aft, varnished teak fold-down drink table with four drink holders.
• Removable seat back on engine box has forward and aft positions and stores under side decks.

Forward-facing settee at aft end of cockpit:.

• Cushions are covered in Ivory fabric.

PORT - Forward

Navigator/Passenger seating is a forward and aft facing seat for two:

• Cushions covered in white vinyl
• Stainless steel wrap-around footrest and second footrest on the forward bulkhead. 
• Forward varnished teak handrail with integral drink holder

STARBOARD - Helm Station:

• Varnished teak dash
• Helm seat covered in white vinyl
• Stainless steel footrest mounted for helmsman on forward bulkhead
• Stainless steel 14” steering wheel with varnished wood rim
• Hinckley “JetStick®” which integrates forward and aft motion of boat, steering, and bow thruster into single joystick control

Forward, down two companionway steps from the pilothouse, is the:

• Galley to port
• Head to starboard
• V-berth area forward.

The interior highlights:

• Finished in satin-varnished cherry, including sheathing.

• Cabin sole is varnished teak and holly
• Opening overhead hatch with removable screen has a custom interior sun cover.
• Four (4) opening ports
• Accupoint heater ducts in the head and main cabin. 
• Five (5) Frigast stainless steel 12-volt lamps.

Entertainment system:

• Fusion Stereo
• Four (4) speakers - two in V-berth below and two pilothouse speakers.

GALLEY

Highlights:

• A “pantry” locker forward with louvered door has several shelves and custom wine bottle storage.

HEAD:

Opposite the galley, the head has a solid cherry door with double stainless steel hook on the back: 

• Varnished cherry countertop and vanity with an undermounted sink.
•  Grohe faucet/handheld shower provides hot and cold pressure water. 
• Vacu-flush marine head. 

• 110-volt outlet, Hella fan and an exhaust fan
• Opening port with screen
• More storage in cherry-faced lockers above and outboard the vanity.
• Storage in drawer and below head sink.

V-BERTH Area forward:

V-Berth may be converted into a double berth using the V-berth insert with matching cushion:

• Cushions are covered in ivory fabric
• Storage is provided in hanging locker; two (2) drop-front doors in V-berth;  under V-berth storage; and in forepeak.

12-volt DC electrical system:

• (3) 12-volt batteries for a total of 540-amps
• 80-amp battery alternator

110-volt 30-amp AC electrical system:
