SUMNER ROAD is a Picnic Boat Classic that easily cruises in style from port to port with full weekend accommodations and provides for comfortable and easy entertaining.  Her thoughtful features and appointments, including shallow waterjet draft, easy and intuitive Jetstick control system, make her well equipped for effortless and elegant entertaining, day cruising, or weekending.  Complete with galley and private head, she sleeps two comfortably below and offers plenty of pilothouse/cockpit space for numerous guests.

 

SUMNER ROAD is a two-owner Picnic Boat Classic in excellent condition.  She shows extremely well and boasts many desirable features including a 2014 engine, recent paint, electronics, cushions, and headliner, teak decks, and bimini top.  Because of her high level of Hinckley care she will convey with a one-year Hinckley CPO Silver warranty.

Construction:

• Hull is Hinckley proprietary DUALGUARD with Kevlar/e-glass outer skins and Carbon Fiber inner skins, end grain balsa laminated via the SCRIMP process with vinylester
• Deck and cockpit are E-glass and balsa core, molded with polyester resin
• The deck has a molded-in nonskid pattern
• Stainless steel half round on fiberglass molded rub rail

COCKPIT

• The pilothouse is finished with varnished teak trim. Hinckley wood package consisting of varnished teak pilothouse liner, instrument pods and dash
• The acoustically insulated white overhead has two acrylic opening hatches with screens
• (4) Four pilothouse windows - (2) Two sliding side windows and (2) two fixed forward windows   with heavy-duty, self-parking, intermittent windshield wipers and fresh water washers
• Teak locking companionway door with folding removable hatch-top
• Illumination by low-voltage halogen lights in pilothouse
• Varnish teak handrails on the pilothouse top
• Interior window sun covers for all four pilothouse windows

• To port, the pilothouse has a forward and aft facing seat for two, upholstered in matching Sunbrella fabric

INTERIOR ACCOMMODATIONS: 

From the pilothouse, through the varnished teak companionway door and down two companionway steps is the galley to port, private head to starboard, and the V-berth forward.  The interior is finished in satin-varnished cherry, including sheathing, with a varnished teak and holly cabin sole. 

• Opening overhead hatch with Ocean Air screen and shade and four opening oval ports below
• Frigast stainless steel 12-volt lamps provide plenty of interior lighting

GALLEY (Port)

The galleyis to port with Formica countertop that has a stainless steel sink with Grohe fixtures and hot and cold pressure water.  The stove is set in the countertop forward and has a custom wood stove cover/cutting board that adds to the already ample counter space surrounding the sink.  The Adler Barber refrigeration is mounted aft of the sink and is accessed by a lift-up top. 

 

The “pantry” locker separates the galley from the V-berth area with a louvered door and several shelves. The stereo is above this locker.  Additional storage is under the galley sink and in three drawers.

12-volt DC electrical system:

• Two (2) 12-volt 8D batteries for a total of 400 amp-hours

• DC panel with systems breaker switch protected and 12-volt system voltmeter and ampmeter
