2015 Hinckley Bermuda 50 Sloop

Portsmouth, Rhode Island

$1,699,000

JAMBI is a stunning 2015 Hinckley Bermuda 50 designed by Tripp Yacht Design and optimized with the latest technology and design characteristics. She is a successful hybrid being equally at home racing across oceans, around the buoys, or cruising with family spending nights at anchor. Unlike most of her competitors on the race course, she is easily sailed shorthanded with hydraulic furling headsail & main, electric winches w/remotes at helm pedestals and can happily anchor in 8’ of water thanks to her lifting keel. JAMBI has been very well received in the sailing community – she’s taken her owners cruising in complete comfort and safety all over New England and Nova Scotia, has taken Line Honors in the Marion to Bermuda Race, and is a welcome sight day-sailing all over.  As the first Bermuda 50 to become available on the brokerage market, she represents an incredible opportunity to immediately acquire a thoroughbred sailboat with a spacious, elegant, & modern design with top craftsmanship evident throughout. Maintained by the same Captain since the build process began and serviced by The Hinckley Company her entire life, she’s completely dialed in and has no excuses.

SAILS and RIGGING

JAMBI’s rig, rigging, sails, and sail handling systems all showcase the best technology and materials available today. Many of the systems are rarely found on boats of JAMBI’s size and are typically reserved for performance superyachts. All the cruising sails can be deployed, furled, and trimmed easily from the cockpit via push button systems (racing sails have hard battens and thus are not furled). Remotes for winches are on the helm pedestals while the remotes for main and headsail furling are easily reachable from the port helm. The vang can be instantly dumped by pulling a string mounted at each helm and there is a kill switch for the hydraulics on the starboard helm pedestal. With these systems and design, JAMBI can be singlehanded and certainly easily sailed double handed. Her rig has been maintained since new by professional riggers.
